The All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued an urgent alert concerning alleged plots to announce fake results for the ongoing Edo State Gubernatorial Primary Election.
The party said it has uncovered plans by unidentified individuals to disseminate false information regarding the election results through various media channels.
In a press release by its spokesman, Felix Morka, the APC emphasized that only the authorized Governor Hope Uzodinma-led Edo State APC Governorship Primary Election Committee is empowered to collate and announce the official results.
The party called on its members, stakeholders, and the public to remain vigilant and disregard any unofficial results being circulated.
The APC also urged law enforcement agencies to investigate and take necessary actions against those involved in the alleged plot to announce fake results.
