Former Vice President of Nigeria and 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, met with Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the newly appointed National Security Adviser, in Abuja today.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Ribadu, who hails from Atiku’s home state of Adamawa, previously served as the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently appointed Ribadu as the country’s NSA. Meanwhile, Atiku, who finished as the runner-up in the 2023 Presidential Election, is currently in court challenging the election outcome declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Accompanied by photos that included one featuring Atiku and the NSA, Atiku Abubakar posted on his verified Twitter page, “This afternoon, I attended the Janazah prayer for the late wife of Alhaji Dahiru Bobo at the Central Mosque Abuja. May Allah accept her soul and comfort the family in grief. -AA”
Atiku’s post has generated a variety of reactions from the Nigerian public.

We look forward to getting good advice of Atiku to the NSA on how best to improve security of the country (Nigeria); for Tinubu’s first tenure not to be like the widely publicized threat of making the country ungovernable that was issued on first tenure of President Buhari.
