JUST IN: Atiku’s Camp Questions Tinubu’s “Brief Working” Trip to France, Makes Demand

The camp of Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, has raised questions over President Bola Tinubu’s trip to France.

The camp has demanded transparency and clarity on the duration and purpose of the visit.

In a statement on social media, Atiku’s media aide, Paul Ibe questioned the openness of the President’s trip,m.

He wrote on social media platform X: “Could you kindly elucidate the duration of President Bola Tinubu’s visit to France, or is this engagement open-ended? Furthermore, might you provide insight into the nature of the ‘brief work’ being undertaken in France, or is this matter held in secrecy?”

The aide stressed the importance of transparency, stating: “Given that the President of Nigeria serves as a public steward funded by the nation’s resources, it is of paramount importance that Nigerians are kept apprised of his travel plans, objectives, and schedules.”

The questions come after a press statement from the State House provided limited details of the trip, simply stating that President Tinubu would embark on a trip to France on Monday, August 19, and return to the country after a “brief work stay”.
