JUST IN: Benue gets new Health Commissioner

Dr Emmanuel Ikwulono has been appointed as the new Commissioner for Health and Human Services in Benue State.

In a statement on Wednesday, the state government said that Governor Samuel Ortom swore in Ikwulono to replace Dr Sunday Ongbabo, who resigned his appointment last week.

The governor thanked the Ongbabo for his service to the state while he described Ikwulono as a good replacement for the outgone commissioner

Ortom charged the new health commissioner to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the health ministry, noting that his appointment was based on merit and competence.

Ortom called on all stakeholders to join hands with the commissioner for enhanced service delivery in the health sector. He also advised people of the state to always check their health status to enable them manage their system better.

On his part, Ikwulono expressed appreciation to the governor for finding him worthy to serve the state as commissioner and pledged not to betray the confidence reposed in him.
