The Lagos state commissioner for health, Akin Abayomi on Friday, January 17, 2025, announced that he underwent a surgery at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
In a series of photo posts Saheed on X, Abayomi appreciated all the surgeons in the department of LUTH for ensuring he received the best of care.
He posted, “Thrilled to share that I just had a successful eye surgery #LASUTHikeja
“Huge thanks to the incredible oculoplastic surgeons in the Eye Department, especially Prof. Mrs. Bola Adekoya and Dr. Rosemay Ngwu, for their expertise and for making the procedure painless,” the commissioner wrote on his page.
He also appreciated the nursing care unit led by Nurse Adrjoke Okeowo, who he said made a difference during the process.
“Deep gratitude to Prof. Adebowale O. Adekoya, Director of Clinical Services and Training at LASUTH, for leading such an excellent team.
“And a big thank you to the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabanwo, for steering the ship towards excellence in healthcare.
