The Department of State Security Service, DSS has reacted to reports that one of its officials at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, Safiyanu Abba, slapped a security officer at the airport.
On Wednesday, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, in a statement via twitter disclosed that Mr Abba assaulted the officer for calling him to order on Friday.
DSS Spokesman, Peter Afunanya, denied the allegation on Wednesday evening. He said; “This is not true. DSS staff are well mannered and couldn’t have slapped or fought a personnel of an agency he is working with.”
“The Service and the DSS place premium on robust interagency relations needed to achieve positive outcomes in the workplace.”.
