JUST IN: Edo gov Okpebholo approves nomination of five new commissioners [FULL LIST]

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has approved the nomination of five individuals for appointment as Commissioners.

The announcement was contained in a Special Government Notice issued on Thursday and signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Musa Ikhilor.

According to the statement, the nominees’ names have been forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The nominees are:

1. Hon. (Barr.) Vincent Osas Uwadiae
Hon. Vincent Osas Uwadiae is a distinguished legal practitioner and member of the International Bar Association. He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He previously served as Chairman of the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission.

2. Hon. Etin-osa Ogbeiwi
Hon. Etin-osa Ogbeiwi is an experienced politician and administrator. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion from Edo State University and is internationally trained in project monitoring, evaluation, and governance. He has also served as a Member of the Edo State House of Assembly.

3. Hon. Saturday Uwuilekhue Idehen (JP)
Hon. Saturday Uwuilekhue Idehen (JP) is a seasoned politician and administrator. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Studies and Diplomacy from the University of Benin. His past roles include serving as a State Commissioner and as Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government.

4. Hon. Charity Amayaenvbo
Hon. Charity Amayaenvbo is a politician and administrator with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Administration as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Benin. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.

5. Professor Roland Itoyah Otaru, SAN
Professor Roland Itoyah Otaru, SAN, is a highly respected legal practitioner and academic. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) from the University of Benin, a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Ife, and a Ph.D. in Law from Babcock University. A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, he is also a Fellow of several professional institutes and an Honorary Member of the Body of Benchers.
