JUST IN: Edo state Abuja liaison office provides free transport for indigenes to vote

Deacon Festus Osagie Osaigbovo, the Director General of the Edo State Liaison Office in Abuja, has organized free transportation services for Edo voters residing in Abuja.

The initiative is aimed at ensuring voters can return to their various local government areas (LGAs) in Edo State to exercise their franchise.

Over 700 passengers have been loaded and are set to take off from the Nigerian capital to the south-south state.

The effort is expected to significantly boost voter turnout for the September 21, 2024, election.

The election scheduled for Saturday is expected to be a close contest between the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, Asue Igbhodalo, Senator Monday Okopebholo of the All Progressives Congress and Barr. Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party.
