Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has reinstated Taiwo Olatunbosun as Commissioner for Information, barely a week after dissolving the state executive council.
The reappointment was announced on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti through a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode.
According to a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Habaibat Adubiaro, Olatunbosun is expected to resume duty immediately.
Governor Oyebanji had dissolved his cabinet on August 11, directing commissioners and special advisers to hand over responsibilities to permanent secretaries or senior civil servants in their respective ministries, departments, and agencies.
However, six commissioners, including those overseeing Finance, Works, and Human Capital Development, were retained to ensure continuity in key sectors.
Explaining the move, Oyebanji said the cabinet shake-up was aimed at injecting fresh energy into governance while staying committed to his agenda of shared prosperity for Ekiti State.
