Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai visited immediate past president Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State, today.
The visit follows a recent meeting between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Buhari, fueling speculations about potential political manoeuvres ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Atiku’s visit to Buhari came shortly after he met with two former Nigerian military presidents, Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalam Abubakar, in Minna, Niger State.
These high-profile visits have sparked rumours of a possible strategic alliance that could transcend party lines, potentially reshaping the political landscape in the lead-up to the next general elections.
According to observers, the meetings suggest efforts to forge alliances and build consensus among key political figures, which could play a critical role in the dynamics of the 2027 elections.
