
Former President Goodluck Jonathan arrived in Kampala on Thursday morning for the 14th Graduation Ceremony of Cavendish University Uganda (CUU).
Jonathan, who serves as Chancellor of the institution, expressed appreciation for the warm reception he received on arrival.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, the former president said he was welcomed by officials of the Ugandan government, the Vice Chancellor of CUU, Dr. Olive Sabiiti, members of staff, and representatives of the Nigerian High Commission.
“Grateful for the warm reception from the Government of the Republic of Uganda, the Vice Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda (CUU), Dr. Olive Sabiiti, members of staff, as well as officials from the Nigeria High Commission, as we arrived in Kampala early this morning for CUU’s 14th Graduation Ceremony scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2025.
“As the Chancellor, I am pleased with the progress and innovative strides CUU continues to make as a leading private university in Uganda,” Jonathan wrote.
