JUST IN: Fani-Kayode speaks on Abba Kyari’s death, Presidency reacts

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has finally spoken on the death of President Buhari’s Chief of staff, Abba Kyari, who died on Friday.

FFK described his death as a “Big loss”, adding that they worked together in his late father’s law firm.

“I have lost a friend of 40 years. We were at Cambridge together. We worked in my father’s law firm together. We remained close throughout right up until the end even though we disagreed politically.”

“Abba was a good man: a man of honour & a loyal friend. May his soul rest in peace.”

Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina also revealed via a statement on Twitter that FFK called the presidency to commiserate with them over the death of Kyari. Adesina wrote;

“Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, phones in to condole with Presidency on the passage of Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.”

“A great lesson for those who rejoice in evil. Fani-Kayode is morbidly anti-Buhari but human enough to express his condolence.”

  1. This shows godliness and maturity
    We will all die anyway at different time and from different cause
    May his gentle soul rest in peace

  2. FFK, Very good of you. You really show everybody that your own opposition is not the type that rejoice in evil,death or downfall of a fellow human being.. Now you have proved are lots of us wrong with the way you have reacted to the death of Abba Kyari. This really shows that you have fear God honestly speaking. It would be very nice if other opposition leaders can emulate Chief Femi Fani-Kayode.

  3. This speaks to the fact that disagreement is not and should not be the reason for enmity, rather it is only a diversity in thought and and conviction, we are all humans full of weaknesses and strength, and no one should rejoice when the other fall, no matter who is involved.
