The raw materials warehouse of Sumal Foods Limited, Ibadan, Oyo State, was gutted by fire on Wednesday morning.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the cause of the inferno was not yet known, although firefighters have put it out.
Sumal Foods is popular for its biscuits, chewing gum, and toffees it manufactures. It also caters to a number of companies under its own names: Yale Foods and Vital Foods. Well-known products include Digestive, Malted Milk, Robot Gum, Drops, and others.
Sumal Foods products are also exported to neighboring countries.
