JUST IN: Gov Makinde Reshuffles Cabinet, Appoints New SSG, Other Officials

The Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced a major shake-up in his cabinet, appointing a new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and reassigning several key officials.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, in Ibadan, the state capital, Governor Makinde has relieved Prof. Olanike Adeyemo of her role as Secretary to the State Government with immediate effect.

He appointed Prof. Musibau Babatunde as the new Secretary to the State Government.

In the reshuffle, Barrister Temilolu Ashamu has been moved from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

Additionally, Governor Makinde has nominated his Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, as a commissioner-designate. He is expected to be presented to the State House of Assembly for screening.

The statement also confirmed the appointment of Abiodun Adedoja as Special Adviser on Energy Security and Kolawole Elijah Akanmu as Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
