JUST IN: Gov. Obaseki declares Coronavirus patient wanted

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has declared one Amaka Okoro wanted after testing positive for the coronavirus infection.

The state recorded seven new cases on Wednesday, which brings the total of confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Edo to 37.

As of the time of filing this report, 1, 728 persons have been infected in Nigeria, leaving fifty-one dead.

Mr Obaseki, who took to his twitter account on Thursday, stated that “One Mrs. Amaka Okoro, who tested positive for #COVIDー19, is wanted for treatment. She is a nursing mother, who has a baby that is already coughing. She lives at #2 Atoe Idubor Str, off 2nd Ugbor, Benin City.”

According to the governor, the nursing mother has been unreachable since her results returned positive.

“Mrs. Okoro poses a threat to herself, the baby and the general public. Anyone with useful information on her whereabouts should please contact the relevant health and security agencies,” he advised.

This is coming few minutes after Edo State authorities discharged the 9th Coronavirus patient in the state. The patient had tested negative twice for infection, POLITICS NIGERIA learned.
