About two months after gunmen killed two police officers, a Police Inspector, Jude Ukpaka, has been shot dead and his Ak-47 taken away by unknown gunmen at Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Politics Nigeria understands that Ukpaka and two officers of the Dragon 19, attached to the Ughelli Area Command, were at a checkpoint near the Evwreni axis of the East-West road when the unfortunate incident happened on Wednesday, July 12.

A trader identified as Esther said that armed robbers attacked travellers as they were returning from Bayelsa in the early morning in the same area before the evening incident.
Two months ago, two police officers, PC Ujeyah Matthew and Sergeant Ijebu, attached to Ofuoma division, were killed, and their guns stolen at Ekredjebor community in Ughelli North.
