JUST IN: Horror as dozens killed in fresh Southern Kaduna attack

Bandits have reportedly killed over 25 people in separate attacks in Malagum 1 and Sokwong communities of Kagoro Chiefdom in Kaura Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State.

POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the attack in Sokwong occurred on Sunday night.

The Council Chairman, Mathias Siman, who confirmed the incident to press on Monday, said he could confirm seven people gruesomely killed in Sokwong Community.

The attack is coming barely five days after an attack was launched in Malagum 1 killing three persons.

This newspaper learned that houses in Sokwong Community had been razed down by the terrorists.

This news medium also gathered that security operatives were being deployed to carry out investigation in the area.

Spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police command, Mohammed Jalige, could not be reached as of the time of publishing this report.

Meanwhile, the governorship flag-bearer of the Labour Party in Kaduna State, Jonathan Asake, has challenged the governor, Nasir el-Rufai, to show exemplary leadership as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the state by curtailing the renewed attacks and killings in communities of Southern Kaduna.

He said that government “must have the will to take decisions to apprehend and prosecute criminals and their sponsors no matter who they are in the society to serve as deterrent to others.”
