The House of Representatives has again postponed its resumption date from May 16th.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that according to a statement by the Clerk of the House, Yahaya Danzaria, the shift is to enable newly elected members to take part in the second batch of induction.
In the statement released by the clerk, he said, “This is to inform members and the public that the House of Representatives will not resume on May 16th. The next adjourned date will be May 23rd. This change is intended to allow members in the second batch to participate in the induction of the 10th National Assembly.”
A total of 235 lawmakers are expected to participate in the second induction, which is being organised by the National Assembly Management in collaboration with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies.
