The leadership of the House of Representatives has paid condolence visits to senior figures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who recently lost loved ones.
Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Speaker of the House, led a delegation of principal officers to the residence of Nentawe Yilwatda, APC national chairman, following the death of his mother.
The lawmakers also visited Garba Datti, APC vice-chairman (north-west), to commiserate with him on the passing of his son.
The APC confirmed the visits in a post on X on Tuesday, noting that the lawmakers extended sympathies on behalf of the green chamber.
The ruling party described the visits as a show of solidarity in line with its values of empathy and support during moments of grief.
