JUST IN: “I’m Still in the Speakership Race” – Jaji Denies Stepping Down

Aminu Jaji, a leading candidate vying for the Speakership of the House of Representatives, has refuted claims that he has withdrawn from the race.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the lawmaker-elect from Zamfara State firmly asserted that he is still actively engaged in consultations with his colleagues to garner support for his ambition.

Addressing the matter through a statement released by his media office on Monday, Jaji dismissed the reports as a calculated effort by his adversaries to tarnish his reputation.

The official statement read: “Jaji is resolutely committed to the race. We have conducted extensive consultations, and our colleagues have demonstrated their support unequivocally. The propagation of this false information is entirely unrelated to the overwhelming backing we have received from Members-Elect spanning across various political affiliations. We urge our opponents to exercise patience and allow the esteemed members to independently elect their leaders.”

Furthermore, the statement urged people to disregard any misleading reports circulating on social media.

According to the statement, Jaji’s credentials, experience, qualifications, and competence make him eminently suitable to assume the helm of the 10th House of Representatives.
