Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa, the immediate past Secretary to the Borno State Government, has passed away.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Shuwa, who served as Governor Babagana Umara Zulum’s SSG until May 28, died after a brief illness.
According to a source close to the family, he breathed his last at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) this evening.
With a wealth of experience as an accomplished administrator, Shuwa had an impressive track record of service at the state and federal levels.
Born in 1958, he passed away at the age of 65.
The state government is expected to announce the funeral arrangements in due course.
