JUST IN: Imo PDP guber candidate resumes as party’s national secretariat after election loss [VIDEO]

Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has resumed his role as the national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja after losing at the just concluded Imo state governorship election.

Senator Anyanwu came second with 71,503 votes, while the incumbent governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, scored 540,308 votes and was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The PDP national secretary has since rejected the result declared by the electoral commission. It is not sure yet if he will be heading to court to challenge the result.

Meanwhile, a video posted by PDP on its X page shows elated staff of the party’s national secretariat welcoming Senator Anyanwu as he arrived at his office at the Wadata Plaza.

”Thank you very much. Thank you for all your support and your prayers. You are very strong. Very strong. It is not over yet. Thank you for everything. I appreciate” Senator Anyanwu said as he settled down to the day’s business.
