Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has dissolved his cabinet in preparation for the upcoming May 29 handover.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that this development was revealed by Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, the Commissioner of Information, Youth Sports, and Culture for the state.
He disclosed the news following the state’s valedictory executive council meeting, which Governor Abubakar chaired.
The dissolution affects several key positions within the state government, including the Secretary to the State Government and the Head of Civil Service.
Additionally, all political appointees, commissioners, as well as heads of government parastatals and agencies have been affected by this decision.
The governor has also instructed the concerned individuals to transfer their responsibilities to their respective permanent secretaries or senior officers within their ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).
Governor Abubakar expressed his gratitude to all the executive members and other appointees for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout their tenure.
