Members of the People’s Democratic Party in Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State have elected a new chairman.
Sebastian David emerged as the new chairman of the party in LGA following a congress which was conducted by the PDP on Thursday.
Yen confesses what happened in Kwoi, the headquarters of Jaba LGA had David was elected alongside 19 other executives.
Having garnered 186 votes from 10 different wars, the new chairman led Joseph Makkada who scored 29 votes at the congress.
While six other candidates contested for the position of chairman, dour withdrew from the election even before the voting process commenced.
All but one of the remaining 19 positions had candidates elected and returned unopposed.
Speaking after the poll, the committee chairman for the congress, Timmy Kambai, commended party members for the conduct of the election.
He urged the chairman and the other new executives to ensure they work in the interest of the people and the party.
