JUST IN: Kano State Government Relaxes Curfew Amidst Protests

The Kano State Government has announced a relaxation of the 24-hour curfew imposed on the state.

Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Haruna Isah Dederi, made the announcement on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

According to Dederi, the curfew will now be observed from 5pm to 12pm, allowing Muslim faithful to attend Friday prayers.

“We pray that God will continue to protect us in all our endeavours,” he added.

The initial 24-hour curfew was imposed following the escalation of nationwide protests into looting and vandalism of public and private properties in the state.
