Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya political movement, on Monday, hosted a special prayer session at his Kano residence.
The gathering, organised by the Islamic group, Mu’assatul Kwankwasiyya, seeks divine intervention ahead of the Supreme Court’s verdict in the Kano gubernatorial election dispute.
Renowned clerics Mallam Yahaya Sufi, Mallam Ashiru Nata’ala, Mallam Bazallahi Nasiru Kabara, and Mallam Sadiq Isiyaku Rabiu led the faithful in supplications. They prayed for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s success at the apex court and for continued peace and stability within the state.
The prayer session drew attendees from various corners of Kano, including members of the incumbent administration’s cabinet, political appointees, and ardent Kwankwasiyya supporters.
Recall that a five-member panel led by Justice Inyang Okoro reserved judgment last Thursday after hearing arguments from all parties involved.
