The Labour Party has announced the establishment of the Labour Party Electoral Reform Committee, tasked with conducting a comprehensive review of the electoral process to ensure free and fair elections.
The committee has been given a three-month timeframe to complete and submit its report to the party.
The move is reportedly in preparation for the party’s participation in the 2027 elections, and to learn from its past mistakes.
Hon. Dr. Sam Amadi, former CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission is the chairman of the committee, while Comrade Ayo Olorunfemi is the alternate chairman.
Mrs. Dudu Manuga is the secretary of the committee while, alternate secretaries are Comrade Adekunle Rotimi and Barrister Calistus Ihediagwa.

The inauguration of the committee is scheduled for Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 11 am, at the National Headquarters in Utako.
