Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday received Edo State Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, at the Lagos House, Marina.
Sanwo-olu announced this on his X-handle on Saturday.
The governor said he and the governor-elect discussed collaborative efforts that could benefit both states.
He opined that the Edo governor-elect has a strong vision for his state and is dedicated to its progress.
“I look forward to seeing the positive impact of his leadership in Edo State as he embarks on this new chapter,” he added.
Sanwo-Olu did not, however, disclose the details of the discussion.
Senator Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner of the September 21st governorship off-cycle election in Edo State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He defeated his major contenders at the polls, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP).
