
Some yet-to-identified gunmen have killed Idris Sakaina, the leader of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria in Kwara State.
It was gathered that the gunmen attacked Sakaina right in front of his residence in Oke Ose, Ilorin at about 10 pm on Saturday and shot him dead.
Sources said after shooting the 32-year-old Miyetti Allah leader, the gunmen men left him in his pool of blood and ran away.
According to the source, no single item was collected from Sakaina by the hoodlums.
One of the witnesses, Aina’u Sarki said he was with Sakaina 20 minutes before the incident occurred.
Sarki said, “I was with him 20 minutes before he was killed. Someone called me on phone and told me that he was shot dead.”
The Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Inter-Community Relations, Fulani, Muhammed Abdullahi has confirmed the incident.
Abdullahi noted that Sakaina was killed by the gunmen in front of his residence.
“We are preparing for his janaza as I speak to you now but the police were here yesterday and have started an investigation,” he said.
