The Nigerian Government has reportedly impounded an aircraft belonging to a UK aviation company for violating the ban on commercial flights.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that Flair Aviation was approved for humanitarian operations in Nigeria but was secretly conducting commercial flights.
This development drew the ire of the government through the ministry of Aviation. Minister for Aviation, Hadi Sirika revealed that the aircraft has since been impounded and the flight crew are currently being interrogated.
The minister, who was miffed by the airline’s actions, described the development as ‘callous’ adding that the airline will face the ‘maximum penalty’.

“This is callous! The craft is impounded, crew being interrogated. There shall be maximum penalty. Wrong time to try our resolve!” he wrote on Twitter.
