Editor of Nigerian online newspaper, Heritage Times, Ronald John Mutum is dead.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Mutum, a former staff of Daily Trust, died on Friday after his three-year battle with cancer. This newspaper cannot ascertain his age.
An indigene of Zaria, Kaduna State, Mutum studied at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria.
Life seemed normal for Mutum until 2019 when he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He expended a lot on the illness, until he breathed his last yesterday.
Mutum leaves behind a wife and three children.
“Sad to wake up to the news of the death of a good friend Ronald John Mutum after years of battle with cancer,” Jaafar Jaafar, Publisher of Daily Nigerian, announced on his verified Facebook page on Saturday.
“He was a very industrious reporter whose failing health neither dampened his spirit nor his industry.
“May the soul of this very peaceful man rest in peace.”
