JUST IN: NSCDC officer allegedly shoots colleague dead in Abuja

A personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has allegedly shot and killed his colleague in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.

It was gathered that the personnel, a Deputy Superintendent of NSCDC accidentally shot his colleague in the Life Camp area of Abuja.

Zagazola Makama, a counter-terrorism expert in a post said DSC Adekunle Emmanuel was hit by a bullet at 10.20 am on Sunday.

Makama said the bullet pierced Emmanuel’s left upper arm above the bicep.

Sources said he was shot while the team were on route to a principal’s residence at Lias Estate from Corner View Hotel.

Makama in a post on X, said the corps personnel was taken to Maitama General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors on duty.

He said the deceased’s body has since been deposited in the mortuary while the officer who shot at his colleagues is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation.
