JUST IN: Nwabali starts as Super Eagles’ line-up remains unchanged for clash against Angola

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has decided to maintain an unchanged starting line-up in the crucial quarterfinal clash with Angola at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). 

Stanley Nwabali, recovering from a mild ligament injury, has been named in the starting XI, indicating his fitness for the match.

The starting line-up for Nigeria against Angola is as follows:

  • Goalkeeper: Stanley Nwabali
  • Defenders: Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, William Troost-Ekong, Zaidu Sanusi
  • Midfielders: Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi
  • Forwards: Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen

Nigeria aims to secure a spot in the semi-final with this unchanged line-up. 

The match will take place at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan by 6 pm Nigerian time.
