Kevin Maussi Martins, the 20-year-old son of former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins, has completed a loan move to Italian Serie C side US Sambenedettese.
The forward joined from Serie B outfit Monza, where he has been developing since making the step up from youth football.
Kevin, who once represented Italy at youth level, remains eligible to play for both Nigeria and Togo through his parents.
His mother, Zelie Adjo, is an Italian-Togolese singer and actress, while his father, Obafemi, enjoyed a glittering career playing for Inter Milan, Newcastle United, Wolfsburg, and Nigeria.
The youngster’s move to Sambenedettese is seen as a chance to gain regular playing time and further his development in a competitive league.
Observers say Kevin has inherited much of his father’s pace and flair, and his progress is being closely watched by scouts and national team selectors.
