Former Nigerian Minister of Education, Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, has received a new international appointment as an Advisor to the prestigious Club de Madrid, a global assembly of democratic former Presidents and Prime Ministers.
The announcement was made by Ezekwesili herself via a post on her official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday.
In her statement, the renowned public policy expert described Club de Madrid as “the world’s largest forum of democratic former Presidents and Prime Ministers, who leverage their individual and collective leadership experience and global reach to strengthen inclusive democratic practice and improve the well-being of people around the world.”
She expressed optimism about contributing meaningfully to the forum’s mission, particularly in addressing global leadership gaps.
“As our global context becomes even more complex, the leadership vacuum delays solutions to ‘global public Bads’,” she stated.
