
The Ooni of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi on Friday visited former President Goodluck Jonathan at his residence in Bayelsa State.
Jonathan in a post on Facebook said the Ooni’s visit is a reflection of the mutual respect and unity shared among Nigerians across the country.
In the photo post, the former president said he was deeply honoured to host the traditional leader at his home.
He added that the Ooni’s visit is a reminder of the need for peaceful co-existence among Nigerians across the nation’s ethnic divides.
Jonathan wrote, “I was deeply honoured to host the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ọjájá II, at my home in Yenagoa, Bayelsa.
“His royal visit and gracious support reflect the enduring unity and mutual respect between our people, a powerful reminder of the importance of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic groups.
“I extend my sincere gratitude to the Ooni and his esteemed entourage for the visit and the royal gifts, which are true symbols of our rich heritage and culture.”
