POLITICS NIGERIA reports that with this step, Ajibola is widely fancied to secure a fourth term Reps ticket.

This is coming after Ajibola’s bid to get the ticket of the PDP hit the rocks with the purported selection of Anthony Adepoju, the Chairman of Water Corporation of Oyo State, a contestant he defeated in the 2019 election.

Meanwhile, Joseph Tegbe, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the APC in Oyo State, has explained why he defected to the PDP.

In a statement he personally signed, Tegbe said he left the APC that brought him to the limelight due to an internal crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.

This newspaper had earlier reported that Tegbe, a top contender for the governorship ticket of APC in 2018, sent shock waves to the APC fold with his defection to PDP.

According to him, his defection was further fuelled by the national leadership of the party, which was allegedly supporting the minority in hijacking the party structure, contrary to the desire of the majority.
