The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has indefinitely suspended Osun state chairman of the party, Soji Adagunodo.
Mr Adagunodo was suspended over allegations of malfeasance, maladministration, and anti-party activities.
According to the suspension letter signed by the party’s National Secretary, Usman Tsauri on Thursday, the National Disciplinary Committee of the party found him culpable of various allegations and complaints leveled against him.
In the letter obtained by POLITICS NIGERIA, PDP asked Mr Adagunodo to hand over all properties in his custody to the state’s deputy chairman pending the conclusion of full investigations into allegations against him.
Meanwhile, the suspended chairman has urged his supporters to remain calm, law-abiding, and shun any act of violence that may arise from his suspension.
In a statement personally signed by him on Friday, Adagunodo said the leadership of the party is already handling the matter and would be resolved amicably.
“The current situation is just a phase and it will fade away as usual”, he said.
