
The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has visited Nasir El-Rufai, the past governor of Kaduna state and former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
Politics Nigeria gathered that Obi visited the former governor at his residence in Abuja on Friday, July 25.
While details of their meeting are yet to be made public, both politicians have been involved in the coalition plot focused on ousting President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress-led government from power.
El-Rufai had earlier dumped the ruling APC to join the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
The former governor later joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) alongside other key politicians from the APC and other opposition parties.
However, Obi, a former governor of Anambra State on the other hand is still with the Labour Party.
He has on different occasions declared that he would run for president in the 2027 general election.
