The Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, has visited Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, where victims of the recent accidental military air strike in Tudun Biri village are receiving treatment.
Speaking to the press, he urged the Federal Government to prioritise adequate funding for the military and other security agencies.
Obi, who recalled 16 accidental military bombings across the nation, which claimed over 500 lives, questioned the government’s inaction in preventing such tragedies.
He called for the provision of funding to tackle the contemporary security challenges faced by the country.
Obi further advocated for the establishment of a foundation to support the victims, particularly orphaned children, so that they can be offered long-term care and support.
