Nentawe Yilwatda, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, has visited the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, to officially inform him of the appeal court judgment that declared him governor-elect of the state.
The Court of Appeal had on Sunday sacked Governor Caleb Muftwang of Plateau State, ruling that he was not validly sponsored by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as provided by Section 285(2) of the Nigerian Constitution.
The court also declared Yilwatda as the winner of the March 18 Plateau State Governorship Election.
