The Police in Niger state has banned Horse-riding during the Sallah festivities beginning on Thursday.
Below is a statement signed by the PRO of the Niger state Police Command, ASP Wasiu Abiodun;
“In furtherance to the earlier press release by the Niger State Police Command dated 28th July 2020 in respect of the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir Sallah.”
“The Command wishes to re-emphasise to the members of the public that the Command will not tolerate any form of horse riding activities during the Sallah period while horse owners and parents should warn their wards against horse riding within the period.”
“Anyone found involved in such act shall be arrested and such horse will be confiscated.”
