JUST IN: Police confirm DPO’s death in Lagos

The Nigeria Police on Friday, October 18, confined the death of Chief Superintendent of Police Bolaji Olugbenga, a Divisional Police Officer.

Olugbenga, who until his death was in charge of Ijanikin Police Station was said to have slumped and died on Friday afternoon.

Confirming the passing of the officer, the Lagos Command spokesperson, Superintendent of Police Benjamin Hundeyin said the officer died on Thursday.

Hundeyin, however, did not give details of DPO’s death.

Reports prior to the confirmation by the Police said the DPO slumped in his office and died before he was rushed to the hospital.

This had thrown his colleagues into a state of confusion and mourning.

It was also gathered that his body had already been deposited in the mortuary.
