
The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Lawal Usman has been invited by the Nigeria Police Force over allegations of a threat to life levelled against Governor Uba Sani.
In an invitation letter signed by the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammed, Usman has been mandated to visit the police headquarters in the state on Monday, September 1.
The lawmaker was accused of being connected to alleged threats to life and false, damaging claims against the Kaduna State Governor.
The Commissioner of Police in the letter directed the lawmaker to personally meet with him at the Kaduna State Police Command to address the aforementioned allegations.
The letter reads: “Re-threat to life, False and Injurious Allegations Against His Excellency Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
“This is to inform you that the Kaduna state police command is in receipt of a formal letter of complaint levelled against your humble-self by His Excellency the executive Governor of Kaduna state through the Ministry of Justice, Kaduna state in respect to the underlined offences highlighted above
“You are kindly requested to appear in person to the commissioner of police Kaduna state command on Monday 1st September to respond to the said allegations
“Your cooperation in this regard is highly appreciated, please,” the CP said in the letter.
