
Renowned Nollywood actor Dejumo Lewis, who was very popular in the Yoruba film industry, has died at the age of 80.
Lewis’s death was confirmed by his close friend and fellow actor, Saidi Balogun, who shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. “Good night DEJUMO LEWIS, may your soul rest in perfect peace,” Balogun wrote.
Lewis’s career spanned decades. He was notable for his performance as the Kabiyesi in the television series “The Village Headmaster”.
Beyond “The Village Headmaster,” Lewis graced the screens in numerous films, including “A Place in the Stars,” “Crossroads,” and “Power of 1.”
