The Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja is abuzz as members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) gather for a significant valedictory session, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that in attendance are Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, along with all 44 ministers and ministers of state.
The session commences with the President administering the oath of office to seven federal commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Fiscal and Allocation Commission (RMFAC).
With over 15 sessions held in 2023 alone, the FEC is expected to adopt the resolutions from its last three meetings, consisting of two extraordinary sessions and one regular meeting.
Furthermore, it is anticipated that President Buhari will officially dissolve the cabinet, marking the end of the current administration’s ministerial team.
Following the dissolution, each minister will have an opportunity to deliver speeches and receive commendations.
Subsequently, the ministers will proceed to hand over their responsibilities to the permanent secretaries in their respective ministries, symbolizing a smooth transition of power.
