President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu has joined prominent figures to express their shock and concern over the recent attack on a United States Embassy convoy in Anambra State.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Tunde Rahman, on Friday, Tinubu conveyed his deep shock upon learning about the attack, particularly as it occurred just hours after his telephone conversation with Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The statement revealed that President-elect Tinubu has taken it upon himself to investigate the identities and motives of the perpetrators and pledged to ensure that they face the full weight of justice.

President-elect Tinubu sympathizes with US, condemns attack on embassy staff
President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu is deeply shocked to learn of the attack on United States Embassy convoy just hours after his telephone call with the Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
He expresses his sympathy and condolences with the US Government and families of the four personnel killed in the horrific attack at Ogabru, Anambra State.
President elect Tinubu has been making his own enquiries into the persons responsible and their motives and will do all he can to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
Security is one of the cardinal issues on the agenda of Asíwájú Tinubu and will give it priority attention on resumption of office, which is why it featured prominently in his discussion with Secretary Blinken.
