President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to commission a fleet of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses produced by Innoson Motors this afternoon.
The commissioning ceremony will take place shortly at the State House in Abuja.
The CNG buses, manufactured by the indigenous company Innoson Motors, are expected to enhance public transportation while contributing to environmental conservation by reducing carbon emissions.
The commissioning of the buses is anticipated to boost local manufacturing and support the growth of Nigeria’s automotive industry.
Officials say it also aligns with the Tinubu-led government’s efforts to modernize Nigeria’s public transport system and promote the use of cleaner energy alternatives.
State House officials say details of the ceremony and further information on the deployment of the buses will be shared later today.
