Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday stormed the national secretariat in Abuja to demand the sack the National working committee (NWC) of the party.
Speaking to reporters, one of the protesters and the leader of Concerned APC Members, Okpokwu Ogenyi, alleged that the current NWC has destroyed and divided the ruling party.
He asked President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Executive committee (NEC) to dissolve the NWC with immediate effect.
Ogenyi noted that the fortunes of the party have also dwindled since the present members of the NWC came on board.
The protesters held banners and placards which read: “The current NWC has destroyed our party”, “NWC has divided our party”, “We want it dissolved”, among others.
