Peter Obi sends message to Obidients over ‘campaigning’ in court

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, on Wednesday asked his supporters, popularly called ‘Obidients’, to abstain from campaigning at the court premises.

POLITICS NIGERIA had reported that Obi will be heading to the Court today (Wednesday) with his lawyers.

The Labour Party is contesting the outcome of the 2023 election which produced Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the president-elect.

Advising his supporters to maintain peace, the Labour Party candidate said “the sanctity of the court premises” must be respected at all times.

“As we go about seeking redress for our stolen mandate, I plead with OBIdients to respect the sanctity of the Court premises and give our legal team the space and peaceful environment to carry out their duties.

“The Court Premises is not and should not be turned into a rally ground. I urge the Obidients to go about their businesses peacefully,” Obi wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
